Tim Hines is an entrepreneur, consultant and keynote speaker specializing in social media, mobile technology and entrepreneurship. Based in Chicago, Tim has been working in marketing, social media and the corporate travel industries for over ten years with companies such as the Tribune Company, TicketsNow and the CIA.
Tim Hines is Founder and President of Business Traveler Social, where he is responsible for overall direction, strategy and marketing. Since its launch in 2010, Tim and his team have rapidly built BTSocial, creating both a global presence and new social travel technology.
Tim is also very active in the business travel industry; he is a member of the Chicago Business Travel Association (CBTA) and the Association of Corporate Travel Executives (ACTE) of which BTSocial is a media partner.
Tim has become a prominent connector in the Chicago entrepreneurship and technology community, where he coordinates the monthly Inspire Startups event and is a recent entrant in the Startup Leadership Program. He is also an active volunteer for the Future Founders Foundation and Techweek.
Tim obtained his degree in marketing from the University of Illinois at Chicago where he began development of his first start-up, ConsumerVine.
